We used David Head for 3 pieces of work.

Firstly a white high gloss storage unit for a bathroom which was quite straight forward in design and manufacture. The installation though was brilliant, ensuring a great fit and a snagging follow up. Secondly main bedroom furniture. The design process was simply about taking the right amount of time to agree not only the look, but just as importantly the measuring process.

At the same time the units were engineered to maximise the space functionality and ease of use. The installation went to plan, carefully working around and with the decorators and carpet installer.

A great install. Finally the home office had a make over. I think this was the toughest because we wanted it to be free standing, a new experience for DH.

Nothing was too much trouble in trying to achieve the right balance of desking and storage. Not the cheapest but the service and quality of the design, build and installation was to be recommended. Even some challenges that surfaced in the middle of the build were calmly considered and smoothed over – a measure of the company we dealt with.

No hesitation in using again.

I have a small awkward shaped kitchen. Large kitchen companies tell you what you can have. With David Head I said this is what ‘I WOULD LIKE’ and he made it happen. He also came up with some suggestions which improved the finished kitchen.

He worked around the electrician and plasterer to keep inconvenience to a minimum. After 6 months I still come down each morning and cannot believe it is my kitchen.

We looked at many different fitted kitchen suppliers and some bespoke designers and did lots of footwork and thinking! For a few months we had given up but it was a lucky day when we found David Head ; he was the only designer who straight away could see what we wanted for our room and he knew immediately that he could incorporate all the features that for others seemed to be impossible (such as cupboards to fit right to the ceiling).

We were never without water, a sink and an oven through all the work. David was efficient, responded to every query immediately and was always willing to discuss ideas and best of all, came up with solutions for apparently intractable problems.

He and his team were friendly, cheerful and honest; it was great to be able to give them keys in total confidence. They were also brilliant at clearing up mess! Four months after completion in October a minor blip appeared in the glass splashback; within a couple of hours of phoning him David came to have a look and two weeks later returned to refit a small section of glass- all without fuss!

The fitted kitchen is unique and perfect and we have gone on to ask him to make various items of freestanding dining room furniture. They are also beautifully crafted.

David Head was one of 3 to quote for our replacement fitted kitchen. As the fitted kitchen is a peculiar shape with uneven walls and floors and a sloping ceiling we needed someone who was confident and ‘hands on’ in dealing with these problems.

The quote that David came up with was comparable with ‘off the shelf’ standard units from other companies and with his bespoke approach represented considerably better value for money, as the units exactly fitted our kitchen.

David’s approach was to work with us, taking on board our ideas but also suggesting excellent ideas of his own to deal with our lack of storage.

The work was carried out very speedily and to very high quality in much less time than feared and at every stage David was mindful of our needs and requirements to keep using the utilities. We are very pleased with the result and it has been much admired.
